The Hope of Easter

February 24, 2025 by thebiblicallymindedfamily 2 Comments

“He is risen!” “He is risen indeed!”

This is such a special time of the year when we celebrate our risen Savior. Jesus Christ not only came to this earth and died (like other religious men), but He also rose from the dead! This gives us hope… the hope of Easter is JESUS CHRIST Himself. Without Him we would be dead in our sins (Ephesians 2:1) and we would be without reason for life itself. When Jesus rose from the dead, He gave us hope that even though we will eventually die, we will have eternal life with Him in Heaven.

One of my favorite verses from the Easter narratives is Matthew 28: 5-6. “Do not be afraid for I know that you seek Jesus who was crucified. He is not here for He is risen, just as He said.” The disciples were devastated when Jesus was tried, was put on a cross to die, and then was buried. They forgot His words that He would die but would be raised to life. When Mary Magdalene and Mary heard these words from an angel of the Lord, they were “afraid yet filled with joy.” They went to tell the others the good news of the resurrection of Jesus Christ, the risen Messiah.

Use the printables below as great reminded of the Hope of Easter this season. Use them as decorations for the Resurrection Sunday to hang around your home, classroom, or office. You can also use these on social media — Facebook, Instagram, etc. — to show the true meaning of Easter and tell the world a verse of Easter that means much to you and your salvation.

We have hope because Jesus is our resurrected King and we have much to be thankful for on Resurrection Sunday. I hope you will be able to take time with your family to celebrate Jesus — the Hope of Easter!
