Thanksgiving Verses

October 27, 2025 by thebiblicallymindedfamily Leave a Comment

Thanksgiving is one of the top holidays in Christianity, not because there is a significant spiritual event that is celebrated that day. But I believe that it is an important day in our own spiritual lives to evaluate our hearts and remember all that the Lord has done for us. Thanksgiving refocuses our hearts on God and the gratitude that we feel for our Savior. Busyness can lead to a hard heart because we don’t take the time to nurture a hard of gratitude. We can fight this attitude by investing time in slowing down to reflect on God’s goodness and meditating on Scripture. During this holiday season, having Thanksgiving verses available for your family to read and memorize will help you to remember our great God and be thankful each day leading up to this special celebration.

The Biblically Minded Family can help you with this! Download these verses below and print them out. Keep them on your table so you can read one or more together as a family before each meal. This will redirect your heart to the Lord this season. In the busyness of October through December, we need to slow down and remember. We often lose sight of Him and His goodness because busyness has crowded out time to be thoughtful.

1. Thanksgiving Verse Cards

Download this FREE set of twelve verse cards that will draw your hearts toward Thanksgiving. Put these cards on your dining table. Pull one out at each mealtime and read it together. Think about how the Lord has been faithful to you and focus your family prayer time around those thoughts. You could also post these verses around the house so your family can read them while doing daily activities. These are great verses to memorize anytime but especially during November.

2. Psalm 100 Poster

Download this Poster of the verses of Psalm 100. Hang it in a prominent place in your home so you can be reminded of its truths during the month of November. Post it on your bathroom mirror so you and your family can read it each time you brush your teeth or wash your hands. By putting it on your dining table your family can read it at mealtimes and begin to memorize it this month. You can also download this and share it on social media.

3. Psalm 95 Posters

These fall-themed posters will encourage your family to read and memorize Psalm 95 this Thanksgiving season. This Psalm is a favorite of mine because it tells of the depths of what God has done for us. It stimulates us to be thankful.

We have made these Thanksgiving verses in two designs: one sheet and two sheets. Download these pages to print them out or share them with friends and family on social media. (Click on each image to download or print.)

As Biblically Minded Families, it is important that we use this season to draw our families to the Lord. While busyness creeps in with many good things to do this time of the year, we must force ourselves to slow down and reflect on the goodness of God. Lead your family spiritually this season by modeling a heart of gratitude that comes through intentionally remembering the Lord. If you are looking for other Thanksgiving resources, consider our Thanksgiving Devotions for families — a ten-day Thanksgiving Series.
