Mother’s Day holds a special place in my heart, not only because I have an amazing mom, but because God blessed us with six wonderful children. When I was a little girl, I would play with my baby dolls. I would change their diapers and rock them to sleep. I literally prayed that God would give me children. When God didn’t bless us for the first six years of our marriage, I thought we wouldn’t have biological children.
I have loved being a mom. Throughout these 18 years I have grown in my knowledge and application of what the Bible says about being a mom. I have read books about motherhood and listened to Christian women speak about it. I have collected some of my favorite quotes about motherhood to inspire me when it was hard. Recently I have even written some quotes as well. These are not just sayings to me, though. They are precious truths that I have chosen to live by. I encourage you to do the same. Here are some cherished words for moms on Mother’s Day. Print them out, share them with friends, and take these words to heart.

(Teaching from Rest by Sarah MacKenzie is one of my favorite homeschooling books. It is filled with so many nuggets for every homeschool mother. I read it at the beginning of each school year. It gives me Truth to remember as I plan for the new year. I highly recommend this book.)
