Must Have Christmas Books

November 30, 2025 by thebiblicallymindedfamily Leave a Comment

One of our favorite traditions when our children were young was wrapping up our Christmas books. I would number them one to twenty-four. For each day in December, we would unwrap the one that matched the date and read it. It was like being reintroduced to an old friend. “I remember this one!” “I love this picture of all the presents!” “This one has such a funny ending.” It was a magical tradition.

Even though we don’t have that tradition each year, we still have a basket of Christmas books that our children pour over during the month of December. They smile as they read each one and recall where they were when they read it for the first time. Here are some of our Must Have Christmas Books that you can add to your pile this Christmas (in no particular order). You can also give the as presents. Be looking for them throughout the year because we have seen many of them at thrift stores. We pick them up, waiting for December!
